Flow Chart of Enrolment Procedures
Read carefully the relevant course information brochure and application guide.
Ensure that you meet the entry requirements for the applied programme.

Send in your completed Application Form together with the required supporting documents.

If your application is successful, Registration Office will send an Offer Letter, fees information and other related
documents to you within 14 working days. If the application is unsuccessful, Registration Office will notify you in writing.

After receiving the Offer Letter, sign the relevant documents and enclose Health Examination Report together with
the First Year’s full tuition fee with other relevant payments to The One Academy
within the date stated in the Offer Letter.

After the college receives your full payment, the Internationtal Student Personnel will submit your
application papers to Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education and Immigration Office (student visa
application). This process may take approximately 6 to 8 weeks (longer during peak periods).

Once the authority approves the application, the Immigration Office will issue a Student Visa Approval
Letter, which the college will courier to you together with the Airport Pickup Request Form.

Kindly bring along Approval Letter and your passport
to the nearest Malaysian Embassy to obtain a single
entry permit before entering Malaysia.

Fax us your arrival details at 603-56375508 at least 7 (Seven) working days prior to your departure.
Kindly take note that you must be picked up by The One Academy
representative at the airport in order to obtain clearance from
the Immigration checkpoint at the airport.

Student must enter Malaysia with the Approval Letter. Failing to do so will
result in a compound imposed by the Immigration Office.

English Placement Test and the relevant Questionnaires are required upon the arrival at The One Academy.

Minimum entry requirement for international students’
admission to our programmes is ‘O’ Level
and/or ‘A’ levels or its equivalent.

Note: Forecast results can be considered for conditional
admission if the official result is yet to be released.
Students must sit for an English Placement Test prior to
enrolment. Students whose official results fall short of
the entry requirement must either withdraw from the programme

Note: Students must satisfy the stipulated English requirement
before pursuing the University of Hertfordshire Degree Programme
at The One Academy.
English Language Requirements
Proficiency in English is fundamental to your sucess at The One Academy.
You are required to undergo our English Placement
Test to determine your English level. If the
test result is not satisfactory, then you will
have to enrol into our Intensive English Programme
for a semester (depending on your progress and achievement),
before commencing our Programme.
Exemption
If you have completed some courses or modules at another
higher education institution, you may be eligible to
apply for exemption upon admission to TOA.
At the discretion of the selected academic department, exemption and admission may be assessed concurrently. If you wish to apply for exemption, please provide full information of your prior studies in the application form and attach relevant transcripts, portfolio and other evidence of studies. You may contact the SRA to discuss your case and arrange for an interview.

Procedure
Complete and submit the Application Form together
with the required supporting documents as follows:
• 2 (two) certified copies of all Academic Qualifications ( in English version).
* If the original documents are not in English, they must be translated and certified by authorized bodies/Embassies from your country.
• 2 (two) certified true copies of English Test - IELTS (if applicable).
• 2 (two) certified true copies of School Leaving Certificate / graduation certificate.
• 2 (two) certified true copies of passport in A4 Size ( the whole booklet including all the blank pages)
• 6 (six) recent passport-sized colour photographs with name written on the reverse.
• A portfolio comprising one landscape
or still-life composition (colour drawing, any
size) and one free composition (any
media, any size).
• Additional documents required for transferring students:
- i. A release letter from the previous college/university
- ii. A certified true copy of latest result and class attendance record
- iii. A certified true copy of front cover page of passport and latest student visa sticker
- iv. A valid student visa of at least 30 days / 1 month validity
- v. A certifies true copy of high school qualification achieved
- vi. A justification letter of transfer of institution from previous college/university
• The non-refundable /non- transferable registration
fee and tuition deposit of USD 333
can be made by telegraphic transfer to The
One Academy of Communication Design Sdn Bhd.

Providing False Information
The qualifications stated in your application form
will be verified by checking the original documents at the time of enrolment.
Providing any false or misleading information in the
form / failure to supply full documentation (Application
Materials) will lead to disqualification of the application
for admission and enrolment.
Fees paid will NOT be refunded.

Application Acknowledgement
You will receive an Application
Acknowledgement via email after the Registration Office has received your completed Application Form and Application Materials.
If you have not received an acknowledgement after 14 working days of the submission date, please contact the Registration Office by post, fax (+603 5637 5508) or email (sra@toa.edu.my).

Application Result Notification
We will approve applications based on qualifications
as stated in the application form.
Additional information provided to us after the commencement
of the approval process will only be considered if time
permits, at the discretion of the relevant academic
department / school.

Change in Correspondence Information
after Submission of Application
If there are changes to your correspondence information (permanent address, contact phone number and mailing address) after submission of your application, please notify the Student
Registration & Administration Office by post, fax (+603-5637 5508) or email sra@toa.edu.my.
For other changes, please write to the Student
Registration & Administration Office. You may be asked to provide documentary proof of these changes.
You are reminded to keep your correspondence information
updated, to ensure receipt of communication from us
regarding your application.

Withdrawal
Should a successful applicant decide to reject the offer, the paid registration fee and tuition
deposit are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Health and Medical Check-up
It is compulsory for all international students to undergo and pass a health and medical check-up prior to their arrival in Malaysia.

Enrolment Procedure
How is my application being processed?
Once your application form is received, it will be sent for evaluation. The One Academy will
confirm your eligibility within 14 working days.Successful Application
You will receive the following by courier service:

» Offer Response Form,
» Conditions of Enrolment,
» Fees Payment form,
» Accommodation Form
» Health Examination Form
Unsuccessful Application
You will be notified and your portfolio and tuition deposit (RM700 / USD233) will be returned.

Tuition fees and Other Payments
Details regarding tuition fees for The One Academy courses -Diploma, Certificate, Foundation In Communication Design Programme, Security Deposit, Resources Fees, Deposit for Personal Bond and Graduation Fees are attached together with the Application Form.
Successful Application
You are required to settle the year one full
paymentand Student’s Insurance payment within the date stipulated
in the offer letter.

Induction Programme
It is compulsory for new students to attend the
2-day Induction
Programme before class commencement. On these
days, you will be briefed on the essential skills,
comprehensive information about your timetable
and other information relevant to your studies.

You are required to attend all classes.
