BA (Hons) Graphic Design
Image creation, design for print, digital media, web design, typography & photography

The rationale of this programme is to educate designers who are creative thinkers; designers who are not constrained by the conventional boundaries of graphic design and illustration. The course aims to provide students strong work-related experience and specific skills demanded by the visual communications industry.

Year One
Emphasise on design thinking, generation of ideas and problem-solving, with workshops to provide hands-on media and software experiences.

Year Two
Focus on projects related to the creative and cultural industries, emphasising professional constraints and expectations. It includes live projects, pitching and work-related experiences and developing design production knowledge.

Year Three
Encompass a national student design competition where students will carry out a project that develops ideas and solutions for the award; extend the breadth and scope of job-seeking portfolio by undertaking a series of challenging design activities based upon reviews of student's portfolio by design professionals; develop a subject and format for a professionally-oriented project focusing towards an envisaged career; carry out a subject research relevant to the practical design work and present it in a degree essay format.
