All 36 latest trendsetting attires displayed had various cultural influences as they were designed by none other than ESMOD International and ESMOD Kuala Lumpur fashion design students. All garments which consists of 4 different collections – exclusive pre-selected batik designed by ESMOD partners from 8 different countries; creative dress collections designed by ESMOD Kuala Lumpur’s first year students; creative tailored jackets and casual wears; and the graduation collections.
Also witnessing this fashion preview was Dato’ Bernard Chandran, celebrity fashion designer who is also known as Malaysia’s ‘Prince of Fashion’, who gave positive feedbacks on his views of the beautiful garments. He was also impressed by the standards achieved by ESMOD International which is on par with the fashion design industry.
The lovely garments were paraded by 8 stunning models whose make-up and hair-do were sponsored by the French Embassy, organised by ESMOD Kuala Lumpur and done by INGLOT and EIG Hair Care Sdn Bhd.
During the event, everyone present also observed a minute of silence at the French Embassy to give their respect to the victims and families who were affected by the tragedy that struck Paris recently.
ESMOD International’s appearance at the French Embassy has given the School of Fashion Design more exposure whether to get others acquainted to the excellent works by ESMOD International and at the same time, give its students the exposure they need to get connected and closely networked to the industry which will help pave ways in their career upon graduation in future.
“Our fashion show held at the French Embassy marked yet another milestone for ESMOD Kuala Lumpur as we will definitely have more projects together in months and years ahead,” said Yong Chi Yen, Head of the School of Fashion Design in ESMOD Kuala Lumpur.
“This is just the beginning for us as we strive harder to make ourselves more known in the industry so we can give our students a chance to hone their skills and the exposure they need,” he continued.
