The One Academy’s students of Graphic Design and Digital Media Design worked hand-in-hand in a collaboration with 8TV to organise its Mid-Autumn Festival Carnival. The event that took place in Central i-City drew in a crowd of mall visitors to celebrate the festival together with 8TV’s hosts and celebrities, where participants enjoyed many fun activities and gained freebies.
The brains and hands behind this project are eight Year Two students from both courses, who came up with the concept and art direction for the 360 campaign, successfully producing an on-ground interactive installation with a “mooncake factory” concept. The interactive installation was displayed in the main court of the mall. In the duration of a whole semester, they had to define the theme, concept and produce the game booth.
“During the process, students cooperated with many people from different backgrounds; they learned to communicate with clients and fulfil their needs. They faced many hurdles throughout, but these are all circumstances of the real world which they need to face in the future,” said Kok Jia Wern, a lecturer in Digital Media Design.
These students have pulled through impressively and presented themselves professionally, showing that they are capable of working together to take on challenges and delivering successfully. Kudos to them for the great work!
