The annual Rookies World Rankings are out and yet again, The One Academy shines in the national creative education scene! The Rookies International are known as “the most important student award and ranking globally as it has a credibility that others just don’t have” and regarded as the world’s most respected rankings for educational institutes that propels careers in creative entertainment art industries.

Annually, The Rookies help aspiring artists find trusted schools to help them forge successful careers in games, visual effects, animation, graphic design, and other creative fields. Completed student works are presented before a panel of experts who then deliberate them as per the industry standard. The results of this are the rankings of World’s Best Schools across a number of categories. This year, we were up against an astounding 4101 entrants from 567 schools in 98 countries worldwide submitting 57390 projects.

This year, we landed a spot as one of the Top 50 Creative Media & Entertainment Schools in the World! This category is awarded to institutions that help aspiring artists learn the skills needed to work in creative industries such as: visual effects, animation, games, architectural visualisation, immersive media, motion design and more. Judged by a panel consisting of highly influential and respected industry veterans, students’ work was judged and awarded points based on creative skills, technical skills, presentation, variety of skills, complexity, raw talent, and employment potential.

In addition to that prestigious title, we have also achieved the rankings of World’s Top 2 Best Product Design School, World’s Top 2 Best Production Excellence (Game Development) School, World’s Top 3 Best Concept Art & Illustration School, World’s Top 5 Best 2D Animation School, World’s Top 5 Best Motion Graphics School, World’s Top 10 Best Architectural Visualisation School, World’s Top 16 Best Visual Effects School, World’s Top 18 Best Game Design & Development School and World’s Top 20 Best 3D Animation School.

Strongly practising the “Masters Train Masters” teaching philosophy, The One Academy constantly encourages its students to go above and beyond by partaking in various competitions and awards such as these to showcase their talents, boost their morale and gain valuable experience and this year was no different.
