"We believed that there are no boundaries for imagination," said Eric Leong, Head of Department of ID @ TOA. Creative October is a highly anticipated event that provided exclusive intensive sharing for Interior Design students to learn from industry speakers. Topics such as Furniture Design Workshop by Walter Tan cover aspects on 'Importance of Furniture' and 'Furniture Industry Revolution in Malaysia', as well as Photography Workshop for Interior Spaces by Patrick Low on the art of 'how to enhance the beauty of an interior space with photography'.
An attraction that encourages public's viewing is Creative October 2010's highly anticipated S.EX Student Exhibition, an exhibition where students showcased their cross-over pop-up of retail store projects for various established international brands with Sunway Pyramid as their mock client. The aim is to highlight the 'Pop up store' trend which is currently famous in the US and Europe. This concept carries a tendency to pop up unannounced, while drawing a quick attention that disappears or morph into another object that enables a fresh feel to retail, exclusivity and surprises presented by the students.
