Updated 2011-10-06
A total of 21 dedicated students from The One Academy under the mentorship of lecturers and tutors from Illustration and Digital Animation faculty completed a unique series of 3D street artwork featuring a popular Disney animation series Phineas and Ferb, in conjunction with its South East Asia movie premiere.

According to head of Digital Animation department Seamus Tan, the collaborative artwork took a total of 2 weeks to complete using waterproof emulsion paint. The team's creative effort was showcased at the main entrance of shopping malls Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and at Fahrenheit88. The piece at main entrance of Pavilion features the two animated characters Phineas and Ferb before entering their two-dimensional world, while the pieces at Fahrenheit88 featured the two in their alter egos there.

Curious passerbys, shoppers and pedestrians from all walks of life did not pass the chance to admire the art piece and to take photographs of the impressive artwork that was also added with a Malaysian touch to it. The artwork, of what Tan described as an 'animorphic art piece' can be viewed from a bottom angle where one can catch its full 3D effect.

A launching event was held prior to the unveiling of the team’s interpretation of Phineas and Ferb's adventure in the 2D world. Among those who were present at the launch of include Walt Disney Television International (South-East Asia) media relations director Mai Tatoy, Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) creative multimedia division manager Vernon Fernandez and The One Academy joint general manager Tan Chin Wee.
